The Nerd Fountain

Nerd Fountain is not a first look-driven outlet, instead we are a podcast and blog that reviews and interviews designers, developers, and publishers from multiple industries to deliver both an inside perspective and a human touch from behind the closed doors that drive nerd culture. We also discuss mid-life dating, give advice, and answer emails. Shows range from The Nerd Fountain's main feed, which features specific discussion points, paired usually with a tabletop or video game review, followed by casual conversation. Other shows include Interviews and shows from the road between Jeffrey Norman Bourbeau and other collaborators.

Hello my Meeples,

Power Jeff here!

I had to get this into your ears before I head off to the Origins Game Fair later tonight. Maybe you can check it out on your way down.

During this interview Rob Daugherty of White Wizard Games explains everything there is to know about Hero Realms, the new Star Realms: Colonies, and Epic's Organized play which boasts extremely large cash prizes (and I would assume easy competition if you know what you are doing).

Hopefully I can check out some this Hero Realms content down at Origins next weekend!

The new hot summer jam is Nerd Fountain and you have come to the source.

This week we discuss the Darth Vader Comics and Novels, Blizzards new team-oriented shooter "Overwatch," Jeff compares two headsets: the Hyper X Cloud II vs. the Steele Series Siberia 350, we explain how to host a panel, Jeff goes over the panel he hosts, and without even a whisper we say goodbye to the core show...

Also we have a long and heated discussion, again, over Aunt May's sex appeal. Err I mean Civil War.

JM then gets super passionate over the Darth Vader comics and Jeff pushes his buttons like the Emperor.

Thank you for checking us out for an entire year and 10 episodes. We were just starting to get to know you. We will continue to produce weird podcasts, such as Session Impressions, Power to the Meeple, and 2 new shows we have been working on with rotating cast members from the past, including one mentioned in this episode around 51.00.

Star-crossed listeners,

You find yourself once more at the foot of the Nerd Fountain.

This week I bring to you another episode of Power to the Meeple, my informative interview and discussion show.

Power to the Meeple this week features a panel recorded at Pax East 2016 featuring my ex-coworkers Matt Fantastic and Anna Fischer, as well as Shari Spiro and Tavis Parker as they discuss board game manufacturing and the processes involved.

It was a great and informative panel that had the audience laughing and learning. Which we all know are the best kinds of panels.

Anyone involved in any aspect of publishing, design, or manufacturing in tabletop should give this a listen.
